Baking Soda and Fruit Loops

Cason and I decided to do a little science experiment with baking soda and vinegar yesterday. It kept us enterained for quite a long time while daddy was golfing. Cason loved mixing the colors together and watching the baking soda fizz as he dropped the colored vinegar on to the pan. We tried different droppers and his favorite was the aspirator... I'm sure because it dropped the most at once, making the biggest fizz. I love to watch his eyes and see his reaction when he is trying something new or seeing something for the first time.

Last week we spent an afternoon stringing pasta and cereal onto yarn.  He loved the challenge of making the string fit through the smaller holes.  Toward the end he decided he didn't want the pasta anymore and started over using only fruit loops.  He thought it was a pretty cool idea to make a necklace out of his masterpiece and wanted to wear it and show it off to daddy when he got home from work.  Unfortunately, his tummy couldn't wait that long and he had eaten most of it before 5:00.
