Cason Turns Two!

Today is my sweet little Case man's birthday.  It is so hard to believe that he is 2 years old!  It's amazing what we have done in the past 2 years.  We have made so many new memories and yet the time seems to have gone by so quickly.  We celebrated his birthday last Saturday with a little party at our house.  It was a lot of fun to have everyone come over and Cason loved the attention.  We're so grateful to have such amazing family and friends!  Tonight we took Cason out for pizza and pasta (two of his favorites) and then spent the rest of the night at Jumpin' Jacks with my parents, sister, and her kids.  Cason loves this place and we had a blast!  He even went down the big, big slide all by himself.  Gosh, he's getting so big.  Thinking about how grown up he is makes me smile and brings a tear to my eye at the same time.  It's amazing how much you can love one little person!  This day, two years ago, was the best day of my life.  He brings so much joy to us everyday and completes our little family.  Happy birthday Caseroo, we love you!!

Here are a few things about Cason at 2 years:

• Loves to sing and can sing every word to many songs, including Twinkle Little Star, You are my Sunshine, Ring Around the Rosies, Happy Birthday, and I am a Child of God.  He also frequently makes up his own words to songs.   
• Has cute, but crazy, obsessions with deodorant (carries it all around the house and likes to put it on), shoes (especially high heels and flip flops), basketball and baseball, cars and keys, and water (playing in it and drinking it). 
• Says the alphabet up to G on his own and can follow along with the rest of the letters. 
• Can count to 10 and counts EVERYTHING.
• At night sits up and talks to himself for about 15-30 minutes before falling asleep.  He likes to sing songs, count, and tell stories about what he has done throughout the day.  Occasionally he will yell out "bye bye mommy," "night night mommy," or my personal favorite "I love you mommy." 
• Is tall (94th percentile for age) and skinny (43rd perentile for age). 
• Favorite foods include pizza, pasta, grapes, apples, fruit snacks, "chippies" (especially Cheetos), and most recently hot dogs.

San Diego Zoo, Seaworld, and the Beach

We just returned from a week long vacation to San Diego and Oceanside.  It was a much needed getaway for our little family.  We had a lot of fun at the San Diego Zoo, Wildlife Safari, and SeaWorld.  We also were able to relax a few days at the beach, eat a LOT of good food, and hang out in Old Town.  Cason absolutely loved SeaWorld!  I wish we could have spent more days there.  He was amazed by the dolphins and Shamu.  He also loved the little kiddie amusement rides and wanted to keep going again and again.  It is so fun to experience these things again by the side of a 2 year old.  I love to see his reactions and excitement.  He makes EVERYTHING so much more fun!
